Bunny Yeager's Rolleiflex 3.5 Twin-Lens-Reflex Camera Braunschweig, Germany, circa 1950 6 x 4 x 4 inches (15.2 x 10.2 x 10.2 cm) For 6 x 6 cm exposures on 120 roll-film. With Carl Zeiss Tessar 7.5cm f/3.5 lens in Compur-Rapid shutter. Black leather covered metal body with chrome fittings. Bunny Yeager considered the moment she was able to afford this Rolleiflex a signifier that she was indeed a professional photographer. The camera appears in multiple self-portraits included in this auction, including the view that shows her against a stone wall, eyes downturned, which is one of her undisputed masterpieces. It was a personal treasure to her, and is an artifact of her career that is unsurpassed. Through her life, Bunny Yeager saved a small assortment of her favorite cameras, which were often featured as props in her extensive self-portrait photo shoots, including images featured within this auction.
