A Russian Strawberry Red Guilloché Enameled Gold Miniature Easter Egg Fabergé, Workmaster Vasili Soloviev, St. Petersburg, circa 1900 0-7/8 x 0-1/2 inches (2.2 x 1.3 cm) PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Houston, Texas; John Atzbach Antique, Bellevue, Washington; Acquired from the above by the current owner. Fabergé Workmaster Vasilii Soloviev (or Vasily Solovyev), was a specialist in enameling on small & fine gold objects, Vasilii Fedorovich Soloviev appears in Petersburg city records from about 1900 to 1910 and Fabergé's designer Franz Birbaum mentions him in his 1919 memoirs.
