Unlined canvas. Very slight buckling to canvas in upper right corner, most apparent under raking light. Some yellowing to the varnish layer. Finely patterned craquelure throughout, with a few scattered instances of more pronounced pigment separation. A very few scattered small dots of discolored accretion. Minor surface dirt and dust. Not examined out of frame. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly and appears to have been removed in some areas. Small dots and dashes of retouching to the sky in upper right quadrant. Strengthening applied to shadows in the central boys' clothing, and to the shadows of the soldier and awning at left and the figures by the trolley at upper right. Framed Dimensions 24.5 X 21.25 X 3.5 Inches
