註：一九二八年春，劍父往遊廣州西南隅之花埭，當地長年花卉滿植，為「千年花埭花猶盛」之賞花勝地，造訪出身當地花農世家之蘇臥農（1901-1975）。他同年拜入劍父門下，入春睡畫院進修，為其早年八名入室弟子之一。本幅以珊瑚花入圖，屬偶一為之者，乃畫家訪蘇氏馥林園時所得見，因「燦若晚霞」，美不勝收，遂折枝移植家中，遂寫此並賦詩以紀。
