In the stone on the lower left is the typographical inscription: CH. Sorlier Grav.Lith. The lithograph was printed by Mourlot, Paris.

The work is based on the left part of a study for the painting "Song of Songs III", created in 1960. The motif was also used as a billboard for the National Museum in Japan. This work is a print of the edition without letters, which was published in a limited edition of 200 copies.
