- Balanced composition with symbolic depth in the New Objectivity manner
- Contrasting play of colours of enormous vibrancy
- From the period of the 'Cologne Progressives', which have been shown in exhibitions in Chicago, Amsterdam and Paris, among others, since the mid-1920s.
