Wir danken Herrn Dr. Fred G. Meijer für freundliche Hinweise zur Katalogisierung.

Darstellung zweier Hühner inmitten einer Landschaft neben einem Repoussoirbaum, vorn rechts ein sitzender Hase. Das gleiche Motiv in liegendem Oval wurde bei Sotheby‘s am 5. Juni 2014 unter Lot 104 angeboten. Im liegenden Rechteck ist beim RKD in Den Haag unter Nummer 15682 ebenfalls ein Gemälde mit diesem Motiv registriert, bei dem erneut das am Boden pickende Huhn angeschnitten ist, was darauf hinweisen dürfte, dass das Gemälde kein Fragment ist.
