• From 1972, the artist regularly painted an empty water glass (in original size) on a white table surface in front of a light background.
• Night and Day Image with the number “2371” were created three years apart, in 2008 and 2011.
• Minimal differences indicate the time of day: one glass reflects a window (day), while the other reflects a reddish shimmer (night).
• Other works by the artist can be found in renowned museum collections, including the Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt a. Main, the Museum Frieder Burda, Baden-Baden, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
