Oil on canvas. Signed and dated on the reverse of the canvas. 165 x 130 cm. . [KA].

• Spectacular combination of color and strong emotional expression.
• Lambert Maria Wintersberger is one of the most versatile representatives of German post-war painting.
• One year after the creation of this work, Wintersberger was awarded the Centre Européen d'Actions Artistiques Contemporaines in Strasbourg.
• 1964 saw the founding of the artists' gallery Großgörschen 35 in Berlin, also joined by Markus Lüpertz and K. H. Hödicke.
We are grateful to the estate of Lambert Maria Wintersberger for the kind support in cataloging this lot.

In good condition. With a small section with minor cracks in the transition from dark to light blue in the upper right corner , and with isolated spots of craquelure on the skin. A retouched spot is visible in UV light in the lower part of the picture. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
