Norman Rockwell (American, 1894-1978) Christmas, Franklin Mint plate study Pencil and ink on paper 7-1/2 inches (19.1 cm) (diameter) Signed lower right PROVENANCE: Previously from the Collection of Mr. Donald Walton. A May 8, 1973 signed letter from Norman Rockwell to Donald Walton, director of the Franklin Mint is included in this lot. The letter reads, "Dear Don: I told you over the phone, I thought making the drawings into squares instead of circles was all right with me, and I think you have done a wonderful job on it, including the cat and the chair.
