- Since the 1970s Bernd Koberling has found inspiration in nature. - The motif trails off into abstraction while only the title provides representational reference. - He is considered a key precursor of the New Wild Artists, however, he always avoided standard stylistic classification. - His works were shown in early shows like the legendary "A New Spirit in Painting“ at the Royal Academy in London (1981), "Zeitgeist“ at the Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin (1982) nd "Berlinart 1961-1987" at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco (1987).
