- Salvo, whose real name was Salvatore Mangione, was a painter, photographer and conceptual artist born in Sicily. - A representative of Italian Arte Povera. - Landscapes and abandoned civilizations are central themes of his art. - In 1972 he participated in Documenta 5 in Kassel.
LITERATURE: Van Ham Kunstauktionen, Cologne, auction 317, November 29, 2012, lot 425 (illu. in color on p. 144).
Helga and Hans-Jürgen Müller Collection, Cologne/Stuttgart. Private collection Czech Republic (acquired from the above in 2012)
In good condition, colors in fine impression. Firmly mounted on a wooden frame. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of knowledge.
