Joseph Jasgur (American, 1919-2009) A group of 104 Photographs of Various Models, 1940s-1950s Gelatin silver prints 10 x 8 inches (25.4 x 20.3 cm) and smaller (sheet) Some signed and dated in pencil, mount recto. Some with photographer's inscriptions and stamps, verso. Joseph Jasgur is today best remembered as one of the earliest photographs to work professionally with a young Marilyn Monroe, and as one of the premiere cheesecake photographers in 1940s and 1950s Hollywood. Tracing directly back to the photographer's archive, this lot is comprised of a large group of pin-up and Hollywood images by the photographer. Overall very good condition. About 12 prints with considerable losses to the sheet and emulsion layer. Sheets are housed sleeves in a white 3 ring binder.
