Capitalist realism

Departing from abstraction, Capitalist Realism originated in Berlin and is usually dated between 1963 and 1975. Influenced by the Fluxus and Pop Art movements, and alluding to the Socialist Realism that dominated beyond the Iron Curtain, the focus of the artistic work is on increasing medialization and the capitalist consumer society.
