Luminismus

Put simply, the term luminism in painting refers to the representation of light. The term is applied to two areas in art: On the one hand, as a term to describe American landscape painting from the mid-19th century, which gave special importance to light and its effect. On the other hand, it is used to describe the Neo-Impressionist movement in Belgium.
