Active from 1919 to 1922, UNOVIS (Utwerditeli Novovo Iskusstva, "Confirmers of New Art") was an influential group of Russian avant-garde artists founded and led by Kazimir Malevich at the Vitebsk Public Art School in 1919. The focus of interest was Malevich's concept of Suprematism.
