Formism is a Polish avant-garde movement that developed in Krakow in 1917 and was active until 1922. As the name already anticipates, form is accorded special significance in the design of Formism. In the search for an innovative, contemporary national style, the tendencies of the Western European avant-garde were combined with indigenous traditions.
