Cubofuturism is an umbrella term for a very broad field of Russian modernism, coined by Kazimir Malevich (1878-1935). The artists of the Russian avant-garde took up the two art movements Cubism and Futurism and merged the stylistic elements of both movements. Particular attention was paid to the depiction of movement and speed.
