來源：張坤儀舊藏。一九三九年，值抗戰局勢危急，張坤儀親攜一批高奇峰墨蹟經香港赴美，以免淪入敵手。抵美國後，先後在北美、歐洲等地舉辦高氏及其作品聯展。該批作品包括山水、花卉、翎毛走獸等，堪稱海外最為重要的嶺南畫派代表作。後轉歸美國劉榮蕭氏，部份於八十年代分別借展香港及臺北，以弘揚嶺南畫藝。本幅與編號8053同屬該批作品。
