Verso mit altem roten Lacksiegel.
In partiell ebonisiertem Rahmen mit Wasserschlagleiste.

Vor einem weiten Landschaftsausblick mit auf einem Hügel befindlicher Architekturstaffage das den rundbogigen obigen Abschluss bestimmende Holzkreuz dessen Querbalken ein INRI-Schild trägt. Davor der fahle Leichnam Christi, der von Josef von Arimathäa und Johannes gehalten und von Maria Magdalena betrauert wird, welche links vor ihm kniet.

Anmerkung:
Das Gemälde ähnelt stark einem Werk von Colijn de Coter, das beim RKD unter Nummer 391910 geführt wird. (1481692) (13)
