Born in San Francisco, Barry McGee emerged from the Bay Area graffiti scene to become one of the most influential artists associated with the Mission School movement. Created in 2013, Untitled features two recycled lampshades transformed by McGee's distinctive ink drawings. Each shade is adorned with a stylized face composed of simplified lines and expressive eyes, a recurring motif throughout the artist's oeuvre.
