Edward Weston (American, 1886-1958) Taos Pueblo, 1933 Gelatin silver print, printed later by Cole Weston 7-1/2 x 9-1/2 inches (19.1 x 24.1 cm) (image/sheet) Signed, titled, dated, negative notation 30A by Cole Weston in pencil with photographer's stamp, mount verso. LITERATURE: Edward Weston: A Photographer's Love of Life, Dayton Art Institute, Ohio, 2004, p. 164. In his daybook entry of July 7, 1933, Edward Weston wrote: "We, Willard [Van Dyke] and Sonia [Nostowiak] and I have just returned from N. Mexico... I have some fine new work; landscapes with gorgeous heavens -- I was continuously reminded of old Mexico -- details of various pueblos, -- the old church at Laguna, the perfectly formed and functional ovens against equally perfect walls of adobe...for in N.
