A Japanese Moriage Enamel 'Roses' Vase by Hattori Tadasaburo, Meiji-Taisho period Marks: three-character Hattori mark 14-1/4 x 6-1/4 inches (36.2 x 15.9 cm) The baluster-form vase encircled with a blossoming rose branch, with blossoms, buds and leaves finely rendered in graduated pastel tones against a mauve purple ground; with applied silver rim and foot, signed to the underside in silver wire Hattori tsukuru. A finely worked example in good condition. Two approximately 2-1/2 inch fine abrasions to purple ground on upper body; only visible upon close inspection.
