Prints presents well with beautiful gaufrage and mica details. The condition of the works are consistent with their age. Condition of Yanagibashi is as follows: Moderate toning throughout the sheet, consistent with age. Moderate accretions appearing heavier around edges of sheet, consistent with handling; accretions contributing to a deeping in tone around the sheet. Several creases and handling dents throughout the sheet. Small marks of foxing/marks throughout the sheet, heaviest/darked appearing along left and lower edges. A minor liquid stain along the upper left edge (3-4" long) extending about 1/4" into the sheet; does not impact central figure. Hinged in upper corners to a mat. Some vestiges of adhesives and hinging along verso edges with an adhesive label lower left. Unframed. Condition of Yanagi ban tsuzuki is as follows: Mild toning throughout the sheet, consistent with age. Moderate accretions throughout the sheet appearing heaviest along edges, consistent with handling; accretions contributing to an overall deeping in the tone of the sheet. A few minor spots of foxing throughout the sheet, do not appear to impact central image. Mild handling dents with some light creasing throughout the sheet. Vestiges of adhesive, paper, and hinging along verso edges; some mild skinning present along verso edges and in lower right corner verso. Unframed.
