Condition
Pair of Bunny Yeager's Beauty Pageant Trophies, 1947-48; 1953 13-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches (33.7 x 14.0 cm) (tallest, overall) From the moment Linnea Eleanor Yeager moved to Florida with her family and began going by the nickname Bunny, it was clear that her drive and beauty would be twin engines of her future. The two beauty pageant trophies that comprise this lot are symbols of this throughline, and pieces that she kept throughout her life. In the distance from the modestly named title of "Miss Trailer Coach 1947-48" to the far more glamorous award granted to her as a winner at the"First Annual Artists & Models Ball Fontainebleu 1953" we see the trajectory of how Bunny Yeager positioned herself to become the powerful self-made icon she was. That she kept both these throughout her life is testament to their significance as part of her story. HID12401132022 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
Overall condition commensurate of age and handling.
