Benjamin Franklin Upton (American, 1818-1910) A 1/2-plate Daguerreotype of Two Men, One Holding Letters, circa 1855 Brass mat stamped "Upton" in lower right corner. In thermoplastic frame. One of the letters the man on the right is holding has a Washington 3-cent stamp which was in circulation from 1851-1861.
