The present work is an early example from John Sloane's oeuvre, at a point where he still signed his works with his legal name, prior to changing his name to Eric Sloane. Under UV exam, there appears to be a 2 1.2 inch area of inpaint in the far left tree and two smaller areas along the upper edge of the far left tree. Finley applied lines of inpaint addressing craquelure in central area of the composition. Two, 1 inch vertical lines of inpaint along the lower center edge. Scattered dots and dashes of inpaint in the sky. Scattered craquelure. Board is slightly convex. Mild frame abrasion. Framed Dimensions 25 X 31 Inches
