畫匣內所鈐「䃺給硯齋」印，乃吳昌碩為劉文玠（1881-1933）篆。劉氏，字照藜、介玉，號天台山農，早歲從戎，民初寓滬，辦報鬻書。此印或因緣際會為正宗氏所得，遂以之顏齋。正宗長西畫，與中國藝界往來紀錄少見記載，從零星散出的藏品看，他嗜中國藝術，題錦盒稱「缶師」，或私淑之，獲此卷後，特製錦盒，木匣，精工裝池，珍視無比，保存至今仍完好，缶翁於彼邦之影響力可見一斑。
