PROVENANCE: Juliet Man Ray; Mary Allen, gift from the above, 1988; Estate of Mary Allen; Private collection, acquired from the above. The 1940s Lift Arm cigarette lighter is engraved "Man Ray" and measures 2-1/4 x 1-5/8 x 1/2 inches. Presumably one of two in existence of Man Ray's personally owned lighters.
