註：本幅取蘇軾〈前赤壁賦〉入畫，以畫家擅長之細膩工筆技法寫成。俞明以人物畫稱著，山水僅作襯景，故畫中人物多局部特寫，即使置於山林泉石或庭園樓閣間，主客之勢亦甚明顯。惟本幅處理手法迥異，蘇子與客泛舟夜遊，整個活動籠罩於近石遠山與水面波濤所代表的赤壁範圍中，情隨境生，主客相融，渾然一體，與文章意境隱然相應。其筆法於細描中夾雜着帶寫意的渲染，虛實相生，加強了畫境的情韵趣味。水面波浪如網紋般逐片細緻勾劃，甚見宋畫山水筆法影響，在其作品中亦屬稀見！
