Ink and polychrome on silk depicting an assembly of three literati in a bucolic landscape. The figures, dressed in loose robes, are gathered under a large tree, exchanging ideas and enjoying the beauty of the surrounding nature. At their feet, the remains of a meal and probably alcoholic beverages. The landscape, composed of mountains, water and abundant vegetation, creates an atmosphere of peace and serenity. At bottom right a two-character signature 洪綬 - Hongshou followed by a red seal. On the closed scroll a label with the indication in ink: 陳 洪綬 洪綬絹本山水人物 - "Peinture sur soie de Chen Hongshou, montagnes, eaux et personnages". Old sales label n°584 glued on the frame
