- From the important period of the “Rhythmic Pictures” (1952-1953). - A painting of the same name was also created in the same year. - After moving to Cologne, Ernst Wilhelm Nay came into contact with electronic music for the first time: his works during this period were strongly influenced by the progressive music of Boulez, Nono, and Stockhausen. - The ink brush drawing “Katarakte” illustrates Nay's unique use of dynamic lines and energetic forms.
