- From 1962 onwards, Albers developed his characteristic formal language: bright color modulation in squares. - In his paintings and color serigraphs from the characteristic series “Homage to the Square,” Albers devoted himself to the interaction of unmixed colors, which he interwove in three to four square color fields.
