- Expressive nude portrait in Max Beckmann's characteristic expressionist style. - In the years after World War I until around 1924, Beckmann concentrated mainly on graphic art and produced only a few paintings. - Another copy from this edition is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
