Based on the oil painting “Kerze” (Candle) from 1982, albeit inverted. Richter originally used the motif for the poster of his solo exhibition at the Mönchehaus Museum of Modern Art in Goslar in 1988. Instead of the white printed writing, a large handwritten signature was now placed across the sheet. Published by the Verein zur Förderung moderner Kunst e. V.
