- Birch trees are the most important motif in the Worpswede landscapes of Otto Modersohn and his wife, Paula Modersohn-Becker. - A mysterious world of moor landscape in dark tonality. - The immediate and intimate impression of nature is the hallmark of the Worpswede style.
