Lot Details
Acrylic on aluminum. Signed "Imi", dated "2001"and numbered on the reverse. From an edition of 35 copies. 100 x 162.5 x 4.5 cm. . [JS].
- Pure display of color in a wall-sized format. - Knoebel lends the smooth aluminum surface a fascinating minimalist incarnate through the subtle monochrome painting. - Unique character due to the manual execution and the color variation. - Knoebel's works were recently on display at the exhibition "Imi Knoebel. Green Flag" at the White Cube, Hong Kong (2023), and in the exhibition "Balance" at the Hamburger Bahnhof - Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, Berlin (2022).

In very fine condition. Only the corners and edges with very few, very faint fingerprints, but not detracting from the extremely beautiful overall impression. The condition report was prepared to the best of our knowledge and belief in daylight and with the aid of a UV light source. [JS]
