- Preliminary drawing for the cover of the artist's first book publication (Zwischenwelt. Ein Intermezzo, Berlin 1931). - The autobiographical text of "Zwischenwelt" deals with his relationship with Speedy, his indispensable muse, dominatrix and wife. - From the mid-1920s, the artist's unmistakable style, clear lines and erotic motifs made him one of the main representatives of New Objectivity in Berlin.

Good overall impression. Mount staining and overall with foxing and tiny to isolated larger brown spots. Few handling marks, as well as with a tiny marginal tear in upper right (ca. 0.5 cm).
