- From his most successful artistic phase. - Ritschl exhibited at documenta 1 in 1955 and at docuementa II in 1959, the same year he was awarded the Art Prize of the Künstlerbund exhibition. - He had his first major retrospective at the Museum Wiesbaden in 1955. - Characteristic composition in geometric forms in front of fluid color spaces. - Works by the artist can be found in the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin, the Bavarian State Painting Collections in Munich and the Sprengel Museum in Hanover.
