- In the restrained posture of this creation by Stephan Balkenhol, an enormous expressiveness becomes manifest. - The figure gets its strong spatial presence through the base that puts it at eye level with the observer. - Characteristic surface with the chisel's unsmoothed traces. - The unmistakable works by the contemporary artist are at museums like the Kunsthalle Hamburg, the Museum Ludwig, Cologne and the Kunstmuseums Basel.
