Chalks and Brush and India ink drawing. Signed in the lower left. Dated and titled by a hand other than that of the artist on the reverse. On laid paper. 54 x 40 cm. , the full sheet.

- In Schmidt-Rottluff's late work, still lifes play a central role; the artist increasingly turns to objects he finds in his immediate surroundings. - Powerful graphic expression, to which the delicate colors are subordinate. - In a private collection for more than 40 years.
The work is documented in the archive of the Karl and Emy Schmidt-Rottluff Foundation, Berlin.

In good to very good condition. Small handling marks, very isolated tiny foxing spots.
