• A vibrant work in Roy Lichtenstein’s unmistakable Pop Art aesthetics.
• Lichtenstein translates the spontaneous brushstrokes of the Abstract Expressionists into a symbolically reduced, oversized form.
• Among other sources, Lichtenstein drew inspiration for his “Brushstrokes” from works by Jackson Pollock.
• Other copies are held in renowned museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Tate, London; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
