Makers marks indistinct

  • The case surmounted by a pineapple finial over a domed top with four further finials over a a moulded lancet with applied brass inlaid decoration with two further finals at the lower section of the lancet, the front with applied decoration, the sides with decorated handles, and lancet shaped sound frets backed in red silk all raised on four large ball feet. The 7.5-inch painted dial with Roman numerals and strike silent subsidiary with blued steel hands, the makers name now rubbed, the double fusee movement with anchor escapement and striking the hours on a large blued steel gong mounted behind. Taking and striking. 84cms (33ins) high
