Unlined canvas. Slight buckling to canvas visible under raking light. Slight yellowing to the varnish layer. A small hole in lower left quadrant with an adjacent small area of flaking and minor loss to the paint layer. An additional small area of loss, approximately 4-inches inward from center of left edge. A few scattered small dots of discolored accretion, primarily in upper right quadrant. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces blue/green unevenly, and appears to have been removed from the figures and central areas. Some modern pigments fluoresce, particularly reds and pinks. Aforementioned dots of discolored accretion fluoresce.
