A Dogon Granary Door or Shutter Mali, c. 19th to early 20 century The hardwood carved in two panels joined with metal brads. The front covered with rows of standing figures with conical heads and hands spread on waists. Top and bottom with a row of quadrupeds. A figure wearing a kanaga mask near the lock. Separately carved and attached lock missing the bolt. In good condition, appropriate for age, origin, and medium. The blackening encrusted in areas, signs of handling on the lock. Missing large narrow piece from the proper left side top which once had the upper pivot knob. Lower pivot knob eroded at bottom.
