signed 'HELEN BRADLEY' and with fly insignia (lower right); inscribed 'One warm afternoon Grandpa said "Would you/all like to drive with me to Rawcliffe Hall, I want/to see the farmer to ask his opinion about buying/that pony 'Zober', he thinks she's getting on a bit,"/"Oh Grandpa", I cried, Think how happy Zober would/be if she came to live with us", "Well", said Grandpa/get your hats on, and we'll see what he says", So Mother,/the Aunts, also Miss Carter (who wore Pink) and Mr Taylor/(the Bank Manager) and George and I were soon off on the/Wagonette with Prince trotting along the lanes, Grandpa/dropped us as soon as we entered the Park. He always/said that the walk through the quiet lane up to the/farm would do us good, but Mother, Aunt Frances, Miss/Carter and I didnt think so, because we didnt like cows/and we didnt know when they would decide to come our/way. Mr Taylor said that he would look after us, but for/all that, we were always glad to see Grandpa and be safely/behind Prince and the year was 1907.' (on a label attached to the backboard)
