Unlined canvas with Sennelier supplier's mark on the reverse and again on central stretcher bar. Mild frame abrasion at edges. Stretcher bar marks faintly visible near edges under raking light. Some yellowing to the varnish layer. Finely patterned craquelure. Some scattered small dots of discolored accretion. A very few small dots of abrasion and very minor loss. Not examined out of frame due to size. Stretcher has shifted slightly in the frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Brushy retouching at edges, particularly the left edge. Scattered more finely applied dots and dashes of retouching in the sky, most populous in upper left quadrant. Some scattered dots of apparent strengthening in the middle ground, particularly affecting the tree and architecture at right edge and the arm of the rightmost female figure.
